Project Manager

The role of the Project Manager is an exciting opportunity, to join a professional organization with an expanding portfolio of New and Existing Construction projects.

                  Project Manager

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

The role of the Project Manager is an exciting opportunity, to join a professional organization with an expanding portfolio of New and Existing Construction projects. The project manager will report directly to the Construction Director and work closely with the Design Team, Project M&E Coordinator, Engineers and Subcontractors.

Responsibility for day to day running of contracts including but not limited to:
  • Manage day to day operational duties
  • Safety on Site
  • Agreeing project objectives
  • Attending Design Team Progress Meetings.
  • Providing input on the management of the project. 
  • Ensure that a robust system of site records for all labor, plant, materials, staff, etc. are kept as support for cost substantiation in the event of change and or delays to the contract works.
  • Management of subcontractor selection and on-site progress
  • Overseeing the accounting, costing and billing to ensure the project is on budget
  • To assist in creation of Construction Programmes / Schedules and delivering the project in
  • accordance with same
  •  Deliver weekly toolbox talks. Attend weekly site project & whiteboard meetings.
  • Strict adherence to the highest levels of Quality and Health & Safety.
Job Roles Also Include:
  • Preparation of RAMS and site files for all projects. Reporting progress to Managing Director and clients. 
  • Maintain site folder including on-site quality plan, Health & Safety documentation.
  • Daily liaising with site Foremen, site teams, on-site co-ordination and site progress.
  • Conduct regular Safety and Quality audits to ensure that work is progressing per the specifications and initiate corrective actions
Essential
  • A third level qualification in Construction related topic or trades background is preferred
  • Experience managing the end to end project lifecycle.
  • Good Computer skills in MS Office.
  • Proven record of coordinating and working on projects
  • The successful Project Manager will have at least 8 years’ experience managing projects with values up to 5-10 million for main building contractors.
  • Must have at least 3 years’ experience working as Project Manager on building projects in Ireland or the U.K.
  • Must speak fluent English and be eligible to work in Ireland.

  • Experience in Construction schedule and timelines associated with tasks

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

The role of the Site Engineer is an exciting opportunity, to join a professional organization with an expanding portfolio of new and existing Construction projects. The Site Engineer will report directly to the Site Manager/Project Manager and work closely with the Design Team, Project M&E Coordinator, Engineers and Subcontractors

Responsibility for day to day setting out and site records of contracts including but not limited to:
  • Setting Out
  • Ordering Materials
  • Document Control
  • Maintaining QA systems on site.
  • Material Requisitions.
  • Support Project Manager with day to day running of Project.

The ideal candidate will be competent in the use of instruments for the purposes of setting out and gathering information (total station, GPS and laser level) Mobilizing and Coordination of sub-contractors on site.

The successful candidate should also be competent using Microsoft word, excel and outlook and be good with paperwork. Check plans and drawings to ensure all calculations are accurate making sure the work performed and materials used are as specified in the contract Overseeing quality control measures on the site liaising with subcontractors, clients and other professional staff

Requirements:
  • Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field would be preferred but not essential
  • Proven experience and track record of setting out on projects from inception to completion.
  • Must have at least 3+ years’ experience working as a Site Engineer
  • Experience reporting into senior management level on Technical and site commercial issues
  • Ability to priorities workload
  • Strong communication and problem solving skills
  • Pro-active approach.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

The role of the Site Manager is an exciting opportunity, to join a professional organization with an expanding portfolio of new and existing Construction projects. The Site manager will report directly to the Project Manager/Construction Director and work closely with the Design Team, Project M&E Coordinator, Engineers and Subcontractors

Role and responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • Achieve Milestone Targets as per the agreed programme and milestone schedule  
  • Manage and control Safety on site including coordination and filing of all relevant documentation
  • Manage site staff and all contractors
  • Day-to-day communication with client representatives on site
  • Proposing suitable changes to design to improve saving, ease construction programme, enhance specification and quality completion.
  • Commercially minded and ability to work with the project team including the QS to manage the project and meet the company objectives for each project.
  • Monitor construction, regarding quality of workmanship and materials
  • Co-ordinate and liaise with contracts manager, Site Engineers and services Co-coordinator to ensure that all subcontractors and site personnel have timely and accurate information.
  • Maintain and manage site teams and subcontractors
  • Ensure compliance with drawings, specification, building regulations and good building practice.
  • Check and understand all drawings and specification. Ensure that any errors/omissions are formally communicated to the design team in timely manner.
  • Establish project resource requirements and lead \ motivate the project team
  • Ability to priorities workload
  • Implementing onsite health and safety procedures
  • Responsible for the day to day operations on site

Quantity Surveyor

               Quantity Surveyor

Construction Quantity Surveyor requirements include:
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Client Representatives to support the activities and maintain positive relations on behalf of the company
  • Assist with the production of bill of quantities/estimates to provide client detailed budgets
  • Assisting the senior quantity surveyor with assessing cost effectiveness of products, projects or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops
  • Analyze drawings, specifications and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials and labor costs vs estimates
  • Support the onsite team with cost control, cost reporting and forecasting.
  • Preparing aspects of progress applications and cost reports to assist Senior QS for monthly management accounts on the project.
  • Work as part of a team to ensure that the requirements of the client are delivered.
  • Liaise and report to the Senior Quantity Surveyor
The successful Construction Quantity Surveyor requires:
  • A Degree in Quantity Surveying
  • Minimum 3+ years of professional experience with proven track record
  • Proficient in Microsoft office: particularly Excel & PowerPoint
  • Excellent at budget management and punctual with reporting deadlines.
